St. Elizabeth Seton
and St. John Nepomucence Neumann St. Elizabeth (1774-1821) founded the Sisters of Charity.
She converted from the Episcopal Church. Many schools are named after her, as are parishes.
Her Feast Day is
January 4. St. John (1811-1869) was Bishop of Philadelphia, devoted to
"40 hours". He came to the American Missions from
Bohemia. He wrote a German Catechism. He worked for the immigrants.
His Feast Day is January 5.
